We wanted to go on a quick family trip this summer before school started again so we decided to take a trip up to Big Sur and Monterey. We actually did real life "CAMPING" in a tent and all!!! What an adventure with 3 teenage girls (Jessica brought a friend Emalee) an 8 year old girlie girl who has a bladder the size of a pea and a total white princess dog, who wanted to be held the ENTIRE time. What stories to be told. haha :)
It was absolutely beautiful and so fun to be with the family. I miss family time with our busy schedule. We only had a few days, but it was fun hanging out in Monterey, Site seeing on the the Coast, Hiking, Camping, and going to the Beach
.
It is amazing to me how different the Coast line can be. Southern Cali beaches are for swimming, surfing and sunbathing. Up there, they are so different, HUGE rocks, Crashing waves, lots of tide pools, and COLD!!! :) But it was still so much fun!
Traveling and getting there was half the fun!
Courtney flew home from Texas the day before we left, she got home about 1:00 am and we left at 5:00 am. She was exhausted and slept every time we got back in the car. But she was still happy with a "Courtney Smile" on whenever we stopped.
For lunch We stopped at a little town called Cayucos, it was a cute little beach town with a great beach and seaside deli.
We played on the beach for a bit and then had lunch
What a great sign...!!! Seriously!
Mandee's Pirate Boyfriend!
Ron was the best Camper of them all!! He was a great sport hanging out with 5 girls and a Princess dog camping all week. Notice he kept a smile on his face! :)
Ron cooked all the meals for us!!! He is a great cook!
We love Daddy's Hot Chocolate on a COLD morning!
Carly LOVED hanging out in the tent with Roxy!!
Carly, Doing her beam routine on a fallen tree
Jessica being cute as we climbed on the rocks watching for whales.
(Which we saw by the way.. Ron got some pictures on his camera.)
Courtney Waving from across the way.
Carly REALLY wanted to see some whales, or dolphins or ANYTHING!!!!
And that was just day ONE!
