Fire Fire Fire!

California's Burning! It is definitely fire season. Monday Morning we had Fires burning East and West of us. Los Angeles National Forest has a huge fire burning and Yucaipa/ Oak Glen had a fire. This of course causes "wonderful" breathing conditions for everyone in between. The Winds weren't blowing which is great for the fires, but it also causes the smoke to hoover and sit right where it's at. So This week on top of about 105* weather, humidity from a Hurricane off shore, and no Santa Anna winds blowing, we had to put up with the eerie orange glow of the fires.

On Monday Yucaipa was burning pretty bad, so For FHE I had the kids find Scriptures on Fires and destruction and then we We fire watching. :) Amazing how close it can get to those homes. and how the firefighter can get our there and fight those Huge out of control fires. They are definitely my heroes! We keep praying for those that have lost homes, and lives, but we are thankful we are safe!

Now if our lungs can survive...

The Fire to the east of us.. in the Morning as the sun is rising.

We couldn't see the actual fires to the west of us, but we could see the effects of the smoke and ash in the air.

The fires in Yucaipa were Right by the homes, but not one was lost...
