CARLY GETS BAPTIZED!~

After 8 years and 1 month Carly was so excited to get baptized this weekend.  Last month when we originally scheduled it, we had an unexpected surprise when Kaniela was born early.  So we just decided that Kaniela REALLY REALLY wanted to be at her Baptism so he took matters into his own tiny little hands and traded weekends. It was such a fun and quick weekend. Mom & dad stopped and picked up Cea, Kevin and Kani, and drove all day Friday.  Carly knew G-ma was bringing her a "surprise"  from C, but had no idea what it was.   When they got here, G-ma, walked in and told Carly to close her eyes and hold out her arms.  She then placed Kaniela in her arms and said "Surprise"  Carly was so excited I thought she was going to drop Kani.

For the rest of the weekend Carly barely left his side.  We had a fun Saturday sitting around and visiting.   Then we got another WONDERFUL Surprise when Russell showed up.  He couldn't stand to not be there, so he jumped on a flight early Sat. morning and showed up.
(Russell & Jess taking pics in the middle of the baptism???)

It was such an honor to have such a large circle of priesthood there for her.  Miah, Jess and Boston made it just in time.
We love having them close enough to come and Carly absolutely LOVES "Baby Boston"

Carly was  lucky enough to get baptized with 3 other friends from her class.  It was such an amazing baptism. There was such a sweet strong spirit there as these 4 precious children chose to become members of the church.

G-ma Shaffer was asked to give the talk on baptism and did such a fun job talking to the kids about  their own personal "GPS" system ( the scriptures) to help them as they start down the path.  Courtney sang a beautiful song.  "Live like you believe" and did an amazing job.
Carly was Baptized by Her Dad and Confirmed by her Grandpa Jack.  She was so excited to receive the Holy Ghost, she asked me if every ones Holy Ghost looked the same or she she has her very own personal Holy Ghost that looks like her.  (try explaining that to an 8 yr. old)
After the Baptism we came home and had a sensational PARTY with close friends and family.
Carly Loves Nubi, so after dinner we all went and got frozen yogurt from Nubi.  It is so fun to hang out with everyone.  Sometimes we feel so far away, and don't get enough of that family time.  Thanks everyone for putting out the effort to come and thanks for your support of Carly. After a long day Carly feel asleep with "New Scriptures" in one hand a smile on her face and a new glow in her eyes!!

What a sweet day!
I love the pictures of that little girl. I remember that little one sitting in her highchair wanting more Crystal light lemonade.
I can never get enough of these babies and their strong spirits. Seeing your family together always bring back such fun memories as kids hanging out together.
I had to giggle at that picture of Jessica and Russell taking pictures *during the baptism* and all your ??? lol!
I love you guys!
